Satiya to Attend Launch of NGO Lovely Hearts

Lovely Hearts is a brand new NGO, with a grand opening on May 6th in Ta Jet Commune in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Unlike other NGO's, Lovely Hearts is focused on providing as many career training options as possible, while utilizing arts, technology, and agriculture.

Lovely Hearts was built amid the rice fields, where many community members have not experienced the benefits of an education for generations. "After volunteering at other NGO's, I saw a huge gap between very limited job training and actually landing jobs," says Micaela El Fattal, Founder of Lovely Hearts.

"Even with the few NGO's with job training, children have been taught to conform into already known occupations, such as working at a hotel, yet sometimes hotels require years of experience or they may be too far to travel to, to begin with."

Lovely Hearts aims to empower children and communities in the countryside to be creative and set their own standards in career paths.

The school is supported by many, such as Satiya, an international singer, who will be attending the inaugural event in hopes of helping Lovely Hearts secure funding for teachers.

There will be about 300 people attending the grand opening, including the Prime Minister's Assistant, Kong Lyra.

Lovely Hearts aims to have a multimedia program that the children can explore, in a supervised fashion, as well as arts, break dancing, yoga, reporting, and broadcasting.
